He first gained prominence as a virtuoso session guitarist and as a member of the 1980s rock band Giant, before transitioning into one of the most sought-after producers in the industry. Over the past three decades, he has crafted chart-topping hits for a wide range of artists, including Faith Hill, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Megadeth, among many others. Known for his genre-spanning versatility, sharp musical instincts, and polished production style, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the sound of modern country and contemporary Christian music. His musicianship and studio expertise have earned him multiple CMA and ACM Producer of the Year awards, as well as the Nashville Music Producers Hall of Fame honour.
