Frank Lenz, born June 18, 1967 in San Leandro, California, is an American drummer known for his work with various bands and artists. His early career involved collaborations with acts such as Richard Swift, The Weepies, Everest, Pedro the Lion, Starflyer 59, Lassie Foundation, Duraluxe, Map, and Charity Empressa. Lenz's breakthrough came in December 2003 when he was voted Artist of the Year by American webzine Somewhere Cold. His solo work began with The Hot Stuff (2001) and included albums like Conquest Slaughter (2004), which was ranked number 2 on Somewhere Cold's 2004 Awards Hall of Fame list, and VileLenz & Thieves (2006). Throughout his career, Lenz released several notable EPs including Pyramid (2018) and Hot Painless City (2020), as well as full-length albums like Water Tiger (2013).
