Musician, poet, naturalist, and traveler currently in Madrid.
Julián Muro is an Argentine singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work bridges traditional folklore and contemporary music. Through his exploration in a language that may inhabit the intersection of music and poetry, he interrogates the boundaries between musical genres and sketches a poetics that dialogues with his life as a nomad and naturalist.
His latest album, 'APFUS, VOL. 1', produced by Dave Douglas in NY, is scheduled for release on May 29th. The project -released by ears&eyes Records (US) and Segell Microscopi (SP)- features the Bergamot Quartet and Ethan Cohn on double-bass.
Julián holds a Performer-Composer Master of Music from The New School in New York, has studied at Codarts (Rotterdam), and is currently based in Madrid, where he continues his studies on Iberian folklore.
His discography includes his celebrated debut, Dingungu and Unterwegs. He is a published poet and writes the newsletter Carta en una botella/Message in a Bottle.
