Çağdaş Terzi, known professionally as Contra, was born on October 23, 1989, in Istanbul, Turkey. He began his journey into rap music in 2002 and started writing lyrics two years later. In 2006, he released his debut album Zaman Alevi. Throughout the late 2000s, Contra collaborated with various artists such as Sensei, Sercash, Orking, Zahriyan, İtaat, Sencer Gordo, Tenko Stabilize and Q4. His breakthrough came in 2012 with the song "Ölü" from the album İnanılmaz, which garnered over 35 million streams on YouTube. In 2018, Contra released his album Yerden Yüksek with Anıl Piyancı and gained significant attention with the single "Kibir," which referenced a quote by Professor Celal Şengör and amassed over 84 million views. He continued to collaborate with various artists including Timu322, Emrah Karakuyu, and Konuya.
