Richard Durrant, born on November 2, 1962, in Brighton, Sussex, is a British guitarist and composer. He studied at the Royal College of Music from 1981 to 1986 and his debut recital was held at London's Purcell Room in July 1986. Durrant has composed works such as Cycling Music (2014) and The Girl at The Airport (2015). He has collaborated with artists like The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain and Don Partridge, and performed at venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Brighton Dome. Notable achievements include receiving a fellowship from the London College of Music in November 2010 and being proclaimed an Illustrious Visitor to Asunción, Paraguay in 2011.
