Bizarra Locomotiva, a Portuguese industrial metal band, was formed in 1993 by Armando Teixeira and Rui Sidónio for the Modern Music Competition in Lisbon. The band participated in the Biennale of Young Creators of Mediterranean Europe and embarked on a national tour. In August 1997, they performed at the Southwest Festival promoting their EP Fear Now?. Their album Bestiário (1998) showcased a broader musical range, while Homem Máquina (2002) featured themes of human criticism. In 2004, they released Ódio, marking a return to raw and heavy sounds. After five years, Bizarra Locomotiva returned with Álbum Negro (2009), which included guest vocals from Fernando Ribeiro of Moonspell on "O Anjo Exilado". The band celebrated its 20th anniversary with shows and a video documentary. Their album Mortuário was released in 2015, followed by extensive touring across Portugal.
