Julian Coryell (born 1973) is an American jazz, pop, and rock guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer from Pennsylvania. The son of guitarist Larry Coryell, he began playing piano and drums at age five, switching to violin at eight, and bass at thirteen to tour with his father. At sixteen, Coryell entered the Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship, becoming its youngest graduate at eighteen. Coryell performed country music with Loretta Lynn and The Osmonds before relocating to New York City. In 1997, Coryell signed recording contracts with Universal Records and N2K. His career featured collaborations with Carole King, Jewel, Alanis Morissette, and Aimee Mann. He produced Jim Boggia’s album Safe in Sound and recorded with Leonard Cohen. In 2006, Coryell performed the entire White Album in Los Angeles. He contributed to the television programs The X Factor and Mobbed and toured with Morissette in 2012.
