Güler Duman, born on June 30, 1967, in Istanbul, Turkey, is a Turkish singer and songwriter. She began her musical journey at a young age, influenced by her father's love for the baglama. At the age of four, she started learning to play the instrument herself. Duman released her first album Dost Garip in 1980, selling over 1 million copies. She gained further recognition through her role in the film A Season in Hakkari (1982) and subsequent albums such as O Leyli Leyli (1982). Duman's career continued with notable releases like Bu Devran (1995) and Türküler Dile Geldi (2009). She has also been a cultural ambassador for the German Ministry of Culture, teaching Turkish folk music and rhythms in various countries. Throughout her career, Duman has sold nearly 10 million albums in Turkey and Europe.
