Jaume Pla, known professionally as Mazoni, was born in 1977 in La Bisbal d'Empordà, Spain. He formed his first band at age 13 with Carles Sanjosé, later becoming the lead singer of Holland Park, with whom he released Welcome to Holland Park (2002) and Things Were Easier When We Played Music (2003). In 2004, Pla embarked on his solo career under the name Mazoni. His debut solo album, 7 Songs For A Sleepless Night, was released in 2003, followed by Esgarrapada (2006), which featured the hit single "No tinc temps," and Eufòria 5 – Esperança 0 (2009). Mazoni has performed at major festivals such as Primavera Sound and South By Southwest (Austin). In 2010, he completed a 31-day consecutive concert tour, later documented in the live album 13.31. His album Fins que la mort ens separi was released in 2011.
