Gianni Suave is a German rapper from Frankfurt am Main. He is considered one of the defining voices of modern underground rap. In 2016, he began to make a name for himself through battle tournaments and rap contests and won the RapTags competition, but deliberately turned down the major contract on offer. Together with friends and producers, he founded the DMWTW (Don't Mess With The Weather) collective, which combines hip-hop, film, fashion and community. His style builds a bridge between old school rap and new school: he combines introspective, lyrically dense lines with organic, yet melodic beats. His discography includes several EPs: he released Dope in 2020, followed by the EP Ketten in 2021 and then the Connex project with features from Naru and Ahzumjot. On March 14, 2025, he released his debut album Ich falle in Frieden, in which he reflects on loss, illness, separation and self-reflection. In songs like "Gift" he addresses toxic behavior, in "Abuela" the illness process of his grandmother. His sound remains raw and honest, experimental and emotional at the same time.
