Marooned is an American a cappella Irish folk and sea shanty band from Las Vegas, established in 1995. The group performed its debut concert at the Las Vegas Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival that same year. Their recognition grew through the inclusion of their version of “Look at the Coffin” in the Mallory and McCall's Irish Pub Songbook. In 1999, the band appeared at the final A&E Networks tall ship battle to promote the Horatio Hornblower film series. The group was named a top five music act by the Renaissance Festival Music Podcast in 2006. Their 2007 album, Better Than Live, was ranked the number 2 Renaissance Festival album of the year. The band contributed to five charity compilations, including Circle and Lafitte's Return, benefiting New Orleans. Notable studio albums include Dance Macaw (2012), Lost at Sea (2014), and On the Scalding Sea (2014). Former member Andrew Meyers died from COVID-19 complications in 2020.
