Agent Blue was formed in Stoke‑on‑Trent, England, in 2002, comprising Nic Andrews on vocals, Mark Taylor on guitar, Josh Hill on guitar, Calum Murphy on bass, and Matt Jones on drums. The group emerged from the local alternative‑rock scene, quickly gaining attention with their energetic live performances and a distinctive blend of punk and hard‑rock influences. Their first single, "Sex Drugs And Rocks Through Your Window", was released in 2004 and captured the attention of underground radio stations, while the follow‑up single "Crossbreed" followed later that year, further establishing their presence in the UK rock circuit. In 2003-2004 the band issued the tracks "Something Else" and "Snowhill" and was later included on the soundtracks of racing games such as FlatOut and Burnout Paradise. The EP Children's Children followed in 2005, expanding their catalog and solidifying their reputation as a live act. Despite the early momentum, the delayed release of their debut LP A Stolen Honda Vision in 2006 stalled their progress, and the departure of bassist Calum Murphy in late 2006 precipitated the band's dissolution in 2007, as announced on their website. The group’s work was featured on BBC programmes such as Blue Peter and Top Gear, marking their brief impact on British alternative rock.
