Neurotica was a rock band from Sarasota, Florida, formed in 1995 by singer Kelly Shaefer and guitarist Shawn Bowen. The group initially gained attention through local club performances, which caught the eye of AC/DC singer Brian Johnson. With Johnson's help, Neurotica secured a management deal and released their debut album, Seed, in 1998. Their follow-up, Living in Dog Years, was produced by Johnson and featured bassist Migwell Przybyl. This album earned them a major-label deal with the WWF's SmackDown! Records. After further lineup changes and a shift towards nu metal, Neurotica released their third album, Neurotica, in 2002. The band also participated in the Ozzfest tour that year but disbanded later after being dropped by their label.
