Star Tattooed, an electronic music and house music project, was founded in Bulgaria during the summer of 2005 by award-winning songwriter and producer Miro Gechev. The project began as a pilot for Gechev's label and recording studio, 2AM. Their debut single "Make Me High", featuring vocals from Ava, was licensed by Airplay Records/Universal Music - France in May 2006. The song reached number 30 on the official French single sales charts and remained in the Top 100 for 11 weeks. It also won the viewers' choice award for 'best hit' at the 9th annual music awards of Bulgarian music TV channel MMTV, and entered the annual Top 100 of Evropa Plus radio (Russia). The single was remixed by Enzo Mori & Stephan Clark. In November 2007, Star Tattooed released their first EP, What A Music!, through Airplay Records/Universal Music - France. The title track reached the top 10 for vinyl sales on French DJBuzz.com. In September 2008, they premiered "Wanna See U" featuring Plamen during the 10th annual music awards of MMTV. In January 2009, "Baby (What About)" featuring Alexandra Raeva was released digitally and topped both the Bulgarian National Radio chart and Pro Fm Sofia. The project has been featured on various compilation CDs in Europe, Russia, and Israel alongside artists such as David Guetta, Bob Sinclar, Fedde Le Grand, Pakito, and Benny Benassi.
