Born and raised in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japanese singer, actress, and model Moka Kamishiraishi (28th February 2000), known professionally as adieu, started her career in modelling before branching out to television in 2012. Her music career began to take shape in 2015 when she put her voice to the theme song "Su-ma-i-ru" ("Smile") for the NHK Educational TV animated series Hanakappa. A second single, "Narratage," came in 2017 and two years later she made her stage name official, performing the ending theme "Ao" for the TV anime Granblue Fantasy The Animation. She has since built up a following in her native Japan for her rich voice, which she took to number 19 on Japan's Oricon chart in 2022 with the track "Anarchy Sky," which was the ending song for anime television series Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon.
