Dominic Saleh-Zaki, born on May 24, 1982, in Geldern, Germany, is a German actor and singer of Egyptian descent. He grew up in Kempen am Niederrhein. Saleh-Zaki's music career began with the release of his first single "Love Is The Message" in 2004, a cover version of Al Green's hit from 1989, featuring singer Rokkha. The single peaked at Number 22 on the German Singlecharts and Number 23 on the Swiss Singlecharts. Saleh-Zaki is also known for his acting roles, notably as Andi Fritzsche in over 1500 episodes of the ARD soap opera Verbotene Liebe from 2001 to 2007 and again from 2009 to 2015. His portrayal of the character, a motorbike enthusiast and business manager at "Brandner-Bau," became iconic among viewers. After leaving Verbotene Liebe, Saleh-Zaki appeared in other television series such as Lindenstraße and Alarm für Cobra 11. He also starred in the RTL series 112 – Sie retten dein Leben in 2008, although the show was canceled after 110 episodes. Additionally, Saleh-Zaki had a brief romantic relationship with actress Inez Bjørg David, whom he met during his time on Verbotene Liebe. The couple dated from 2004 to 2008. Saleh-Zaki's acting career continued with roles in various television shows and films. He appeared in the short film Aus der Sicht eines Freundes in 2005, and later in episodes of popular German series like Dahoam is Dahoam.
