David Schrader, born on September 15, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, is an American harpsichordist. He began his musical journey as a student and later became a professor at the Chicago College of Performing Arts of Roosevelt University, where he teaches music history. Schrader has performed alongside notable ensembles such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. His extensive discography includes collaborations with artists like Rachel Barton Pine and John Mark Rozendaal, resulting in albums such as George Frideric Handel: The Violin Sonatas (1996) and Trio Settecento: A German Bouquet (2009). Schrader has also performed at the Ravinia Festival and has frequently appeared on Chicago's classical music radio station WFMT.
