Janne Hatula (born March 21, 1980), performing as Fanu, is a Finnish drum and bass and electronic DJ, producer, keyboardist, and label founder from Helsinki. Hatula began producing music at age twelve and released his first recording in 2003. He established the label Lightless Recordings and produced hip hop music under the alias FatGyver. Hatula’s discography featured the studio albums Daylightless (2007), Lodge (2008), Homefree (2009), and Serendipity (2011). His subsequent releases included Polar (2015), The Silent Watcher (2017), and Classy Coffee Cuts (2023). Hatula collaborated with producer Bill Laswell and vocalist Gigi. His early singles included “Defunct Drums' Depression Decade” and “Tales From the Sea”.
