Julian Wachendorf, known professionally as Lord Folter, born on January 2, 1992, in Hennef near Bonn, Germany, was a rapper, lyricist, and visual artist. He released his debut EP Brach in 2017. Lord Folter co-founded the collective Nyati and released notable singles like "Sand in der Lunge" featuring Nick Mitdemkopf and Tusken. His breakthrough album Rouge (2017) showcased his unique rap style. He continued to release critically acclaimed albums such as Haut (2018), 1992day (2020), and Farce (2022). The album 1992day was named "Album of the Week" by Juice magazine. In 2021, he founded the label Babygroove with friends, which released his final EP Wir Werden Sehen in 2023. Lord Folter passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 31 after a battle with a brain tumor.
