Nobantu Vilakazi frequented house parties during her adolescence and rose to prominence by hosting events across celebrated venues in the vibrant Johannesburg and Pretoria dance scene. Nobantu Vilakazi worked with Luu De Deejay, Sir Trill and Musa Keys, two of whom she crafted her breakout hit “Vula Mlomo”. The power of collaboration in the Amapiano scene has seen Nobantu make statement songs like “Akayi Ndawo” to announce herself, as well as more sultry cuts like “Ngimtholile”.
