Brendan Becker, known professionally as Inverse Phase, was born in October 1979 in the United States. His early interest in computers and music led him to compose tracks for games created by his grade school friends. Inverse Phase's breakthrough came in 2010 with an NES parody of CeeLo Green's single "Fuck You". Later that year, his song "Boss Burger N' Chips" was featured in the soundtrack to Super Meat Boy. In mid-2011, he transitioned to full-time music and released soundtracks for games such as Super Smash Land and Shuttle Scuttle. Notable releases include Pretty Eight Machine (2012), a tribute to Nine Inch Nails' debut album, and Biteration I: Genesis of Consequence (2016).
