Jon Weber, born in 1961 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is an American jazz pianist and composer. Largely self-taught, Weber began playing at a very young age and developed perfect pitch and remarkable melodic recall. He initially lived and performed in Chicago before moving to New York City. His debut album, Jazz Wagon, was released in 1993 on IMI Records. Following this, he released the live album Flying Keys and It's Never Quite the Same, featuring tunes by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans. Weber has collaborated with numerous musicians, including Eric Alexander, Roy Hargrove, and Gary Burton. His most recent album, Simple Complex, was released in 2004 and features his own compositions. Weber hosts Piano Jazz With Jon Weber on NPR and produces the concert series 'From Joplin to Jarrett: 100 Years of Piano Jazz', which received positive reviews from publications such as The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
