French singer Alma (born Alexandra Maquet in Lyon on September 27, 1988) began by studying piano and playing her own compositions as a teenager. After a detour to the United States, where her parents had moved, she returned to France and set her sights on a career in international marketing, before changing her mind and turning to music. A first experience on television, in the show Les Chansons d'abord (2013-2014), confirmed her in this choice. On the strength of her performance, she signed with a record label and recorded her first single, "La Chute est lente", released in June 2016. A few months later, in February 2017, Alma was selected to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest, held that year on May 13 in Kiev, Ukraine, with her new song entitled "Requiem". At the same time, David Gategno, Pierre Jaconelli and Renaud Rebillaud prepare to record her first album. The album, entitled Ma Peau Aime, was released on May 5, 2017.
