Tik & Tok are a robotic mime and music duo, composed of Tim Dry and Sean Crawford, who worked together in the early 1980s in the Shock troupe. Their initial exposure came through Shock’s modest dance hit "Angel Face", after which the duo developed a mime technique called “robotics” and appeared on The Royal Variety Show (1983) and The Tube. Their breakthrough single, "Screen Me, I'm Yours", reached number 17 on the UK Indie Chart in 1984, while "Cool Running" peaked at number 69. In 1984, the duo released the album Intolerance on Survival Records, which peaked at number 89 in the UK. Tik & Tok supported acts such as Duran Duran and Gary Numan, and toured Japan and Germany, later appearing in the films Xtro (1982) and Return of the Jedi (1983). After a long hiatus, Dry and Crawford reunited and released the album Dream Orphans in 2007, a self‑released CD that marked their return to the music scene.
