Irène Duval, born in 1992 in France, is a violinist of French and Korean descent. She began studying the violin at age seven and moved to France in 2003, where she was admitted to the Conservatoire de Rouen and later to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. Duval's career took off as she performed with major orchestras such as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Dresde. She has played in prestigious venues including Wigmore Hall and the Philharmonie de Paris, and worked with musicians like Joshua Bell. In 2016, she released her debut album Poèmes with pianist Pierre-Yves Hodique. Duval has won several awards, including the first prize at the 46th International Instrumental Competition of Markneukirchen in Germany and the Concours international de Violon d'Avignon in 2009 and 2010.
