Thabo Thwala, professionally known by his stage name T.West, is a South African rapper, singer and entrepreneur. Born and raised in Soweto, Johannesburg. In 2012, he established his own record label, It's About Time Music and has gained prominence since. He claims that he's only inspired by the hardships he goes through from time to time.
At first, he didn't know if he could do anything else besides drawing. Time passed and he started to understand the power of music. He then started to pen down his thoughts especially when he was feeling down. He did a lot of cyphers with his peers and it hit him that he didn't have a rap name. Everybody had a rap name and some of his peers were using names of famous musicians. He then came with the name T.West, which is combination of his favourite rappers T.I. & Kanye West. It was just his nickname at the time, but he realised he should keep it because his name is Thabo and he is from Soweto, Meadowlands West.
