Avulsed, a Spanish death metal band from Madrid, was formed in 1991 by vocalist Dave Rotten. The group initially struggled with members who lacked musical experience but eventually stabilized their lineup and released their first demo, Embalmed in Blood, in 1992. Avulsed's breakthrough came with the release of their debut album, Eminence in Putrescence, in November 1996 on Repulse Records. The band gained international recognition through extensive touring and subsequent albums such as Stabwound Orgasm (1999) and Yearning for the Grotesque (2002). In January 2004, Avulsed signed with Metal Age Productions for their album Gorespattered Suicide, released in 2005. The band continued to release notable works like Nullo (The Pleasure of Self-Mutilation) (2009) and Ritual Zombi (2013). Their double-album, Night of the Living Deathgenerations, was published in 2017 via Xtreem Music.
