Basement Revolver is an indie rock band from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Formed in 2016 by guitarist and vocalist Chrisy Hurn, bassist Nimal Agalawatte, and former drummer Brandon Munro, the trio began their musical journey in Hurn's basement apartment. Their first EP, Basement Revolver, was released in 2016, followed by a second EP, Agatha, and the single "Johnny Pt.2" in 2017. The band signed with British indie record label fear of missing out and Hamilton-based Sonic Unyon. In 2018, they released their debut full-length album, Heavy Eyes, which included tracks like "Johnny", "Baby", and "Tree Trunks". The album received critical acclaim, with Billboard noting the band's transformation into heavier sonic and topical territory. Basement Revolver toured extensively across Southern Ontario, the UK, and the Midwest USA, playing notable festivals such as The Great Escape Festival in Brighton. In 2020, Munro left the band and was replaced by Levi Kertesz.
