Auburn Williams, known professionally as Auburn, was born on December 2, 1989, in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota. She began her music career at a young age and started sharing her music online through Myspace.com. Her first significant release was the independent album Same Giirl in September 2007, which featured the underground hit "Ewww Ewww" with Chellii-B. The song reached number 6 on DJ Booth's Underground chart. In early 2008, Auburn signed with Beluga Heights and Warner Bros., marking her entry into the mainstream music industry. Her first official single, "La, La, La", featuring Iyaz, was released in June 2010 and peaked at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100. She subsequently embarked on a tour with Jason Derulo that same year. Following this, she released several singles including "All About Him" (November 2010), which became popular in the Philippines, and its remix featuring Tyga. In April 2011, she released "Perfect Two". Auburn later confirmed her departure from Beluga Heights and continued as an independent artist. Her subsequent releases included the single "My Baby" in January 2013.
