KOLARS is a band based in Los Angeles, formed by Rob Kolar and Lauren Brown. Both musicians were previously members of folk group He's My Brother She's My Sister. In 2017, KOLARS released their self-titled debut album to wide critical acclaim. KOLARS have performed over 400 shows since 2016, appearing at several music festivals such as SXSW, Treefort Festival, Rolling Stone Weekender, London Calling, Gasparilla, Cornbury, Savannah Stopover, Dot to Dot, and The Great Escape. Lauren Brown is known for her unique tap dancing drumming style. Rob Kolar currently scores TBS' The Detour and is the grandson of late British actor Robert Shaw.
