Bill Brown IV, born in 1969 in San Diego, California, United States, is an American composer known for his work in video game soundtracks. He began composing music for video games in the late 1990s, contributing to titles such as Quake II, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. His work extended to films like Any Given Sunday and television productions including CSI: NY. Notable collaborations include Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle with Inon Zur. Bill Brown received several awards, including the BMI 2005 TV Music Award for "CSI: NY" Season 1. He is also known for creating system sounds and tour software music for Microsoft's Windows XP operating system.
