Vicente José Tito Falivene, known as Héctor Mauré, and born on March 13, 1920, in Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina, was a tango singer and composer. He began his career as a singer and composer of tango music, singing with Juan D'Arienzo's orchestra from 1940 to 1944. Mauré made 293 recordings for labels including Víctor, Orfeo, Columbia, and Music Hall, and as a composer, registered 26 themes with SADAIC. He released several albums such as Al Tango Lo Canto Así (1971) and Le Canta A Carlos Gardel (1975). Notable collaborations included work with bandoneon players Héctor Varela and Leopoldo Federico, and pianists Lito Escarso and Jorge Dragone. He passed away on May 12, 1976.
