Cuibul, an acoustic funk band from Chișinău, Moldova, was formed in 1991 by Igor Dinga. Known for their rock'n'roll funk fusion sound, Cuibul released six albums between 1991 and 2001, evolving to include acoustic mellow funk, chillout, and Latino influences. Their concert activity peaked from 1991 to 1995 and between 1998 and 2001, with the release of Po-mid'or. Singles "Muzika Letneaya" and "Igra v duraka" hit the MTV Russia top 20 charts. In December 2001, they launched Klyuchi ot vannoy, but became inactive from 2003 to 2008. Cuibul resumed activity in 2009 with PRiZ and continued touring through Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, and Western Europe. In 2012, Lidia Scarlat joined as a vocalist, adapting lyrics into Romanian and English. The band also performed at international festivals like Dikaya Myata in Russia and Folk You! in Romania.
