Plaisir Bahamboula aka Ophlai was born in Corbeil-Essonnes on January 8, 1991. After starting his career as a footballer, the FC Sochaux-Montbéliard striker became a star of social networks, and more particularly of Snapchat, where he never ceases to create a buzz with short videos in which he takes his "fans" into his daily life. Ohplai shares all his adventures with his audience, whether paying impromptu visits to neighbors, filming strangers in the street or finding himself in police custody. Working on the endearing aspect of his character, he develops a whole semantics made up of expressions that have been appropriated by his fans thanks to the thousands of views garnered by his video capsules, such as "atroce", "ça pète", "ça va se la couler douce" or " Ehlelou". In fact, it was the latter expression that prompted him to take up music, as it inspired him to release an energetic, Afro-trap-sounding debut single in 2016, on which the comedian pays tribute to Paris and its suburbs.
