Barcelona Gipsy balKan Orchestra (BGKO) was formed in Barcelona, Spain, in 2012 by a group of musicians celebrating International Romani Day. The band's first album Imbarca was self-published in 2013 and re-released with the vinyl EP Satélite K in 2014, featuring new songs such as "Hasta Siempre, Comandante," "Cigani Ljubiat Pesnji," and "La Dama d'Aragó." In 2015, BGKO hosted the Balkan Reunion concert, which brought together prominent Balkan musicians, and later released their second album, Balkan Reunion. The band toured extensively across Europe and released the album Del Ebro al Danubio in 2016. Throughout their career, BGKO has explored diverse musical influences, including Klezmer music, Jazz Manouche, Romani music, and sounds from South America, Spain, and the Middle East.
