Savourna Stevenson, born in 1961 in Scotland, is a Scottish clàrsach player and composer. She started her career in the late 1970s, performing at Queen Elizabeth Hall with notable folk artists by age 15. Her breakthrough came with the 1989 album Tweed Journey, which featured an electric setting with rock and jazz musicians. Stevenson collaborated with various artists including Dave Swarbrick, Aly Bain, Davy Spillane, the Bhundu Boys, and Toumani Diabate, participating in Womad festivals worldwide. Her notable works include "Misterstourworm and the Kelpie’s Gift" performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra in 2003, and Hansel and Gretel, premiered across Scotland during 2005.
