Tara Perdida, a Portuguese punk rock band from Lisbon, was formed in 1995 by João Ribas, Ruka, Cró, and Orélio. Their debut album, Tara Perdida, was released in November 1996 under Música Alternativa, featuring singles like "Zombies" and "Até m'embebedar". The band gained traction opening for acts such as NOFX. In October 1998, they released their second album, Só não vê quem não quer. Throughout the early 2000s, Tara Perdida continued to release albums including É Assim… (2002) and Lambe-Botas (2005). They achieved chart success with Nada a esconder, reaching number 6 on the Portuguese charts in 2008. João Ribas passed away on March 23, 2014. Despite this, Tara Perdida continued their musical journey, releasing Luto in 2015 and recruiting Tiago Afonso as the new vocalist.
