UV is a South Korean musical duo formed in 2010 by comedian Yoo Se-yoon and musician Muzi, the leader of the band High Syde. Blending comedy and music, UV debuted with the digital single "Do You Wanna Be Cool?" on April 16, 2010. The lead track, “쿨하지 못해 미안해” (“Sorry for Not Being Cool”), became a viral sensation, earning them nationwide recognition for their humorous yet musically solid approach. Their first EP, Back To The Dance (집행유애), released in July 2010, paid homage to 1990s dance music, complete with a nostalgic music video that incorporated Yoo Se-yoon’s childhood home videos. UV’s satirical style and clever fusion of comedy, pop, and electronica quickly distinguished them in the Korean music scene. In 2012, they released the EP ARTIST, featuring collaborations with artists like Yoon Do-hyun and a remix of their hit “Itaewon Freedom.” Known for pushing boundaries with parody and satire, UV has remained active over the years, releasing singles such as “Fine Dust” (2019), “Are U Crazy?” (2024), and “Sakurada” (2025), the latter exploring K-trot influences.
