Patrick Coleman McAvinue, born on April 4, 1988, in Hereford, Maryland, is an American fiddler known for blending bluegrass, swing, and Celtic music. He began playing fiddle at age seven and received classical violin training. At ten, he studied fiddle tunes with Amy Hopkins, and by twelve, he formed his first band, The Salem Bottom Boys. McAvinue won the Delaware State Fiddle Championship in 2003, 2004, and 2005. In 2006, at age sixteen, he joined Audie Blaylock and Redline, recording seven albums with them, including The Road That Winds (2016). His solo debut album, Grave Run, was released in 2006. McAvinue received the International Bluegrass Music Association's Momentum Instrumentalist of the Year award in 2015 and Fiddle Player of the Year in 2017.
