Usha Mangeshkar is an Indian singer known for recording songs in multiple languages, including Marathi, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Nepali, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Odia, Manipuri, and Assamese. She rose to prominence as a playback singer after performing devotional songs for the film Jai Santoshi Maa (1975), a major blockbuster, including “Main To Aarti Utaroon,” which earned her a Filmfare nomination for Best Female Playback Singer. She also recorded the same songs for the film’s remake in 2006. Her awards include the Lata Mangeshkar Award by the Government of Maharashtra (2020), the Mirchi Awards Lifetime Achievement Award (2020), and other recognitions.
