Nick Murray is an American drummer born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He began playing drums at eleven to form a band with his brother and later joined the Minneapolis underground scene. Nick Murray earned recognition with the garage‑rock band White Fence as a percussionist. During the 2000s, he played in several local bands, refining his style in garage and psychedelic settings. His breakthrough came with Thee Oh Sees, where he recorded the albums Mutilator Defeated At Last (2015) and Fortress (2016). He also collaborated with Tim Presley and Welsh singer‑songwriter Cate Le Bon on her 2013 album Mug Museum and the 2015 project Drinks. Nick Murray toured with Mikal Cronin and Gold Star, and in late 2009 he joined The Young Veins, remaining until their 2010 indefinite hiatus.
