Hubert Frans Joanna "Bert" De Coninck, born on June 23, 1949, in Belgium, was a Belgian singer and guitarist who pioneered Dutch-language rock and Belpop. His career began with the release of several singles, including "Evelyne" (1976) and "Blijf nog even hier bij mij" (1977). De Coninck's breakthrough came with his debut album Enfant Terrible in 1975, followed by releases such as Crapule de Luxe in 1979 and Pomme d'amour in 2000. In 2010, he released La Salsichafobia de Marzapane. De Coninck passed away on November 29, 2024, at the age of 75 in Lagos, Portugal.
