The Rock with no labels of the Profusão Sonora
The band formed today by Márcio Dias (Vocal), Diego Araújo (Guitar), Big "Felipe Feijó" (Bass), Iran Ferreira (Guitar) and Filipe Tartaruga (Drums), emerged in Baixada Fluminense, when brothers-in-law Tiago Ferreira and Tiago Carvalho joined their friends Thiago Lima and Diogo Soares, to play rock with influences of the most varied sounds. The repertoire went from "Stupid Cupid" to "She stole my truck" in a magic pass through "Charlie Brown Jr", "The Rappa", "Skank", "Ultraje a Rigor", "Raimundos", "Legião Urbana" and all the icons of Brazilian Rock. "One day, in the old days of 2004, I went to visit my grandmother Alice, when I heard the songs of KNO₃, my old punk rock band, rolling live in the backyard. I invaded the rehearsal and invited myself to take the microphone of that musical project with an unpronounceable name, says Márcio, making suspense as to the group's previous name.
After a period in which the band changed its name every week, the then drummer Diogo Soares, appears with the name "PROFUSÃO SONORA", and when he explained that "Profusion" meant "variety", "plurality", "exuberance", the other members had no doubts, that was the message they wanted to pass on.
With covers of Brazilian rock and authored by Márcio, Tiago Ferreira and Tiago Carvalho, Profusão Sonora goes to the neighborhood of Penha in Rio de Janeiro to do their first show and is very well received by the public.
Anderson Ferreira, Diogo's cousin, saw the performance and only calmed down after he added his psychedelic arrangements of keyboards, terim and other picturesque instruments to the sound of the Band. Thiago Lima, did another show with Profusão Sonora and left to dedicate himself to the study of law. With that, a guitarist position was left free for Diego Araújo, who always went to rehearsals with his uncle Márcio, the vocalist of the band and so he already knew how to play the repertoire in its entirety.
After six years of existence, going through festivals, tributes and playing in traditional stages of the carioca independent scene, Tiago Ferreira and Diogo Soares decided to leave the band to dedicate themselves to other projects.
Some time later, Tiago Carvalho and Anderson Ferreira also left the band, as both moved from Rio de Janeiro.
Even with all the difficulties, Profusão Sonora never stopped. They played in Barra da Tijuca, participated in various events, such as a Tribute to the Urban Legion in 2007 at Sesc do Engenho de Dentro, and performed at Lona Cultural de Bangu and Teatro Ziembinski. It was at that time that they began to compose an album for later recording.
One of the band's most unusual performances was their participation in a charity event, in a madhouse. Márcio tells that it was in the scare, they didn't even know what was happening, but they played and were well received.
In 2006 he played two songs in the block dedicated to new bands of the Machine Head program of Radio Tribuna FM of Petrópolis. In 2007 he had his first appearance on TV, when an Avatar do Márcio (vocalist) announced the release of the band's official website.
The songs "Ajoelhou tem que Rezar", "Forte Demais", "Filhos da Miséria" and "Nunca Mais" have already been aired on Radio Tribuna FM in Petrópolis and 95.1 FM in Santa Catarina.
WebRadio programs such as Independência or Morte and Estrada 55 have also dedicated spaces of their programming to the sound of Profusão Sonora.
In 2010 it was the turn of the "Nunca Mais" Clip to debut on the screen, staying in the programming grid of "O Novo Bando", Channel 6 of Net Rio, for months.
