Julie Lee

Julie Lee is an American Americana and folk singer-songwriter originally from Maryland, currently based in Nashville. She is a member of the band Old Black Kettle with Sarah Siskind and has collaborated with artists including Vince Gill, Tim O'Brien, and Mike Farris. Lee gained recognition when Alison Krauss recorded her songs “Away Down the River” and “Jacob’s Dream” for the album A Hundred Miles or More: A Collection (2007). Lee’s solo discography includes Stones (1999), Many Waters (2000), Made From Scratch (2003), and Stillhouse Road (2004). Her later releases include Julie Lee & the Baby-Daddies (2012) and Till and Mule (2013). Lee has toured the United Kingdom and the United States, notably opening for Alison Krauss & Union Station at the Ryman Auditorium in 2001 and performing a solo set at the Newport Folk Festival in 2007.
