Dima Orsho, born in 1975 in Damascus, Syria, is a Syrian composer and soprano singer. She began her musical education at seven at the Arab Music School in Damascus and later studied singing and clarinet at the Higher Institute for Music in Damascus. In 2008, she released her debut album Arabic Lieder with pianist Gaswan Zerikly. Orsho's work spans Arabic art songs, Middle Eastern world music, and jazz-inspired scat singing. She has collaborated with notable artists like Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, and composed for multimedia operas such as Bushra El-Turk’s Woman at Point Zero.
