Figa Flawas, formed in the summer of 2020 in Valls, Catalonia, consists of members Pep Velasco (born 1998) and Xavier Cartanyà (born 1997), who first met in high school. This Catalan band skillfully blends pop with elements of urban Latin music, including reggaeton, bachata, and contemporary R&B. They first captured attention with their debut single "100 graus" (2020) and rapidly gained fame through their lively performances and impactful tracks. Their debut album, Joves Tendres, released in 2022, features hits like "Que no s'acabi" and "M'equivocava". Following up in 2024, they released La Calçotada, adding to their discography with tracks like "Mussegu" and "Aurora". Their single "La Marina Sta Morena" entered the spanish charts on its release month in July 2024. Figa Flawas earned critical acclaim early in their career, winning the Sona9 award in 2022, solidifying their status as prominent figures in the Catalan urban music scene.
