Serge Perathoner, born on June 27, 1953, in Longchamp-sur-Aujon, France, is a French composer, arranger, keyboardist, and musical director. He studied at the Troyes National Conservatory and later at the Paris National Conservatory of Music. Perathoner's early career included working as a musician for Club Méditerranée and forming the jazz-rock group Transit-Express in 1974. His breakthrough came with the arrangements for the film Diabolo menthe in 1977. Perathoner's career includes composing and arranging music for numerous films and television shows. Perathoner also founded the company Piano Bass Music Édition with Jannick Top in 1991. As an arranger and director musical, he worked on the musicals Starmania (1988 and 1993 versions) and Notre-Dame de Paris (1998). He has also collaborated with notable artists such as France Gall, Michel Berger, Johnny Hallyday, Sylvie Vartan, and Céline Dion.
