Bom Yeoreum Gaeul Kyeoul, who is also known as SSAW, were a South Korean jazz-rock fusion band formed in 1986 by Jong Jin-sim, Tae-kwan Jeon, Jae-ha Yoo, Ki-ho Jang, and Kim Hyun-sik. The group debuted in June 1988 with their first album Bom Yeoreum Gaeul Kyeoul, which marked the beginning of their career in the Korean music scene. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Bravo, My Life" from the same album, which became one of their signature hits and helped establish them as a prominent act in the jazz-rock fusion genre. In October 1989, they released their second album Bom Yeoreum Gaeul Kyeoul 2, showcasing their evolving sound and lyrical depth. The band continued to gain traction with subsequent releases such as 1 Photograph to Remember in June 1993 and Mystery in February 1995, both of which received critical acclaim, alongside others such as Banana Shake in 1996 and Beautiful, Beautiful!
(아름답다, 아름다워!) in 2008. SSAW's impact on the Korean music scene was significant, with their unique fusion of jazz and rock influencing many artists who followed. On 28 December 2018, Tae-kwan Jeon passed away after being affected by cancer for six years, leading to the disbandment of the group.
