Zóna A, a Bratislava punk band, was formed in 1984 in Bratislava by former members of the groups Paradox and Ex-Tip. Despite limited opportunities to perform during the communist regime, Zóna A gained attention through secret concerts. Following the Velvet Revolution in 1989, they performed at large concerts celebrating the end of the communist regime. The band's first album, Potopa, was released in 1990. Subsequent albums include V životnej forme (1996) and Nikto nevie jak to dopadne (2000). The band has toured extensively in Europe, performing in countries including France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany.
