Francine Chantereau (born Francine Chabot on March 31, 1950, in France) is a French singer known for her work as a backing vocalist and in children’s music. She began her career in the late 1960s as a member of Les Fléchettes, the vocal group that supported Claude François. In the 1970s, she performed with the group Chance before becoming a member of Cocktail Chic, which represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest 1986 with the song “Européennes.” From the early 1980s, she collaborated extensively with Dorothée, contributing to music associated with the television program Club Dorothée. She later focused on children’s music, participating in recordings of songs and nursery rhymes.
